Love Is Dead - A Poem by Aeon

  ďLove Is DeadĒ

Itís raining again
Right on my parade
Why does it seem like
Itís raining everyday
And the rain falls like tears
Of some unforgiving god
Whose heart is broken
Just like mine is broken
I think youíre confusing me
With what you just had said
Sex is love and love is sex
I guess true love is dead
I scream out that Iíve had enough
I know that love is dead
But no one here will dig it up
No one here even seems to care
Everyone seems so consumed
By the rapture of a fuck
That they seem to forget
Just what it means to touch
And weíre all so concerned
About the sex appeal
That we seem to forget
Just what it means to feel
I scream out that Iíve had enough
I know that love is dead
But no one here will dig it up
No one here even seems to care

For all it matters: I like it man.

I know exactly what you're trying to describe in this poem.

Job well done.

Asswipe. I love you. I think that it isn't really a love poem so much as a poem about the state of love. Do you want something more social conscious?
