I know im not a regular or part of u guyz' close-knit community. Jst an observer.

But i got an interesting question - What would you like to see change in your life in the next 5 years? and an extension on that - what would you like to see change in the _world_ over the next 5 years?

Start your engines...

Firstoff.. Welcome to GT :D There's always room for one more plonker who's left the plankers in here :)

The next 5 years.. Well i want to make it through at least enough schooling to get me into some sort of paying job.. But i dont plan to remain there. Ill always write so main goal would be to find a place i could do that and get PAID for it :D :D Hmm. I want to establish and maintain a good relationship with all my friends and do the same with new people.. And i want to make it through with as small a minority of casualties for my friends and family as possible.

In the world.. Well i just want the world to actually make it through the next 5 years and that's asking alot so i wont ask anymore for the world.

Thank you.

i hope to expand the company and employ more people to work under me. now it's a one man show.

personally, i hope to be more optimistic..but it depends on the world.

as for the world, if there are fewer bomb blasts...poverty, viruses...better economy, me would be glad...and then me would be more positive..then me would look younger..:) yeah.

Not so fast, my Dingy friend!
It takes more than one thread starting post to escape the Planker label! I believe JQ has written in the bylaws you have to have 20 posts of substance to join the ranks of Plonker/Plinker officially (and you have to have said something really stupid in at least two of them) LOL

Welcome not4sale! that's a really disturbing photo you have.

Next 5 years:
Still be alive
Still be not smoking
Still be a postin' slut here
Have at least one trip to Ant's/chanz's tropical beach home under my belt
Have a torrid passionate love affair with a plinker
Convert hif to a bleeding heart liberal
Mentor my 2nd son Christophe on his quest to become an asshole (he's still a nice asshole)
Get mesh back on the board. The lazy son of a bitch!

  Next 5 years...

Probably be finished with school in about 6 or so.
Planning in enjoying my youth as much as I can, under the supervision of addison ;o)

After finishing school I want to get a job untill my own bussiness works out.

Planning on having an up and running firm within 10 years.

Pretty certain that I'll achieve it.

Got what it takes, will have an education to back it up, and I'm really going for it so I wouldn't know why I wouldn't be able to pull it off.

If somebody else can do it I can do it even better.

I really believe that.

I don't see much changing in five years.

Big occasions would be graduation. That would lead me into college, where I will probably attend Ohio State University. (my dad made that decision for me, *sarcastic yay*) That will go on for four years.

Those years will be filled goofing off, studying, finding myself (moreso), and posting on GT.

Hmmm, five years, eh? Hell, I don't know what I'm going to be doing in the next five minutes, much less five years.

Lets see, college will be over with (unless I decide to get more degrees), and I'll probably be working for a huge company writing chunks of computer code that have no meaning, wearing a tie every day, and writing TPS reports weekly. Either that or dead, at the hands of a worldwide crime syndicate because of dangerous and exciting things I'll have done (which I can't tell you about).

Yeah, better start looking for ties....

Oh, and I'd like to find somebody to be with. That'll be nice.

Five years. I would think I'd know where I'd be, since I try to plan everything, but I really don't. Maybe I'll join the PeaceCorps, maybe I'll be a teacher then, maybe me and my friend Caro will have our Bookstore/Coffeeshop up and running by then. I'd like to see myself happy, maybe meeting someone that I end up marrying.

As far as the world, I'd like the Orangutans to still be here, and maybe some advances in finding alternate energy sources and more respect for the environment from everyone...I'd also like to see a democrat (or a green!) in the whitehouse...

It'll happen when you really want it to, Bud. Not before. Patches only assist in the process. I found it's the mindset to quit that's most critical. It took me a LONG time to finally get to this point so dun beat yourself up too bad. I still respect you.

I think, in a way, it's the best and worst thing a person can do. All at the same time. You have kids and you sacrifice so much of yourself, but a lot of parents say that bringing a kid into the world was the best thing they ever did.

Don't think it made their lives any better either.

Problems are easily forgotten once they're over (like raising children) but firstof all you have to go through them and that's just not wort it to me.

I also refuse to simply give in to my 'biological need to reproduce'. That would be so fucking lame.

Be married - no particular person in mind just be done with this whole dating thing.

Have been to Europe.

Volunteered in a third-world country.

~
As far as the worlds concerned.

I'd like equality for all people.

Communism doesn't work, history has proven that. Equality sucks. Why would you try to achieve something if it doesn't matter anyway?

Also, what has any 3rd world country ever done for you? It won't make a difference anyway ppl will still die over there.

And worst of all: you want to be married to be free from the dating thing?

I'm shocked.

Seriously where did you get that?

If you don't want to date then just don't but don't get married to be rid of it.

Shit, do you have any idea of what you have just said :o|

Being married is my stupid romantic girl dream and to be honest about my stupidity I would never happy without a significant other.

Equality for everyone would be great I never said it would work or how, but I can't still dream of perfection.

I want to go to a third world county. So I can say I tried to make a difference. I am the girl and the starfishes. I may not be able to save them all but I can save this one and that one.
- Besides were talking cheap drugs, hot latin men, and tropical climates - nothing wrong there ;)

If I had the power I'd make every one of them come true for you. Don't worry about being a dreamer. worry when you stop dreaming.
