The Quiet Winds Have Failed Us
22 Feb 2004
The gas chamber's doors open again,
No more airplanes are coming down,
The sands of time are shifting,
The centurions are in town.
Little G. sits in the corner,
He's forgotten how to cry,
But his uncles will show him,
There's no pain when others die.
The cavalry rider sits waiting,
Trigger fingers ready to go,
The quiet winds have failed us,
But who could say they didn't know?
