Flooded in

Sheesh... Last night, while I was here at work, it started raining REALLY hard... And with hail, too. The parking lot (which is a bit above street level) was flooded with about 50cm (16 in) of water. It reached a bit above my knee, but since I thought that was the worst part, I waded out... But when I got to the street, the water reached my waist!!!

I think I'm coming down with a cold now...

  Momma Mia! Thatsa lotta water!
Did you drive, walk, or swim home?

FN Posted: Wed Jun 16 11:37:23 2004 Post | Quote in Reply
I bet it was the chili!

Be very carefull with shit like that, underwater currents can drag you along even if it's only knee-deep. Very stupid to drive a car though moving water as well for the same reason.

Well, I was gonna give swimming a try, but I didnt want to get all that mud in my hair, although, now that I think about it, it may just have been a free full-body mud treatment!

Anyway, I only had to walk 4 blocks, then I got to the gym and took a shower... And another after I got home... But I still think I've got a cold now...

And actually, I'm probably not as sick as I should be because of all the vitamins in chili!!! LOL

Ever since all these rains started I've been having flashbacks of that movie called "The day after tomorrow" Sheesh... It just *may* be happening...

*Daydreams about Mexico's national debt being pardoned*

*wakes up*

I should go to the company doctor... I'm not feeling too good...

You should only be worried once people start floating all over the place and levitating like mad.

Somebody call the exorcist!

Did the guy order you to fuck him with a crucifix? ;o)

Aw, take care of yourself, Erika. Drink lots of fluids and get lots of rest. Ginger is good for congestion and echinacea helps the immune system. *hands erika a hanky*

  Thanks, Mouse...

I still havent gotten to go to the doctor yet... I'm trying to finish off as many evaluations for technical support agents as I can...

Stuffiness and fever and drowsiness and dizziness are coming and going, so I'm trying to hang in here until leaving time... Which is...

I'll be checking in once in a while in the next few hours.

Physics exam was pretty good, studying for my Biology exam for tomorrow (genetics and evolution, interesting but a whole fucking lot to learn).

Have an English exam on friday, I hope I'll pass on that one.

erikagm Posted: Wed Jun 16 15:18:14 2004 Post | Quote in Reply
  Congrats on your physics!!!

And if you need help in biochemistry or chemistry or biology (human, that is) at some point in time, let me know... Gotta put those 2 years in med school to use somehow...

(Now what was it they told us to use when your throat started to ache? If I could only remember!!!)

FN Posted: Wed Jun 16 15:22:10 2004 Post | Quote in Reply
  Lol.

Already had chemistry.

Almost done with biology.

Only 6 more exams to go.

  Biology went excellent, as expected.

English tomorrow, will have to study long and hard today.

I'll probably end up inviting some friends to come over and play some poker lol. 7 card stud rules.

I've had 10 exams up to this point during the last 2 weeks (2 for my economy classes, german, geography, 2 for dutch (oral and written), mathematics, chemistry, physics, and biology).

Right now I still have to do written+oral of english tomorrow, history on monday, religion/morality on tuesday and french on wednesday.

French and history are going to be hard, especially since I'm looking forward to the second I walk out of my french exam lol. 3 months partying from there.

I concurr... Not that I have anything against that funny little page someone made, but the swaztika really drives me nuts... I had no relatives or anything die there... (ok maybe a couple of very distant political ones, born and dead before my time) but still, what that cross NOW stands for (because it wasn't always considered a hate symbol) is unbearable.

A reason more to keep it up.

I hope you at least see the symbolism behind the avatar.

Ok I just read that -whole- article, and while it is very interesting, unless you're finnish (which I dont think you are, at least not that I recall) there is no reason to have that avatar on your profile, except maybe to annoy some people and cause comments better left unsaid.

And may I just add, hard as it may be to accomplish, that until you remove that avatar I will ignore further posts from you, even if they -do- enfuriate me, as they do at times. :P

FN Posted: Thu Jun 17 11:37:49 2004 Post | Quote in Reply
Haha now I will certainly keep it up.

If there is one thing I do not give in to, it is blackmail madam.

And the point is that the nazi-explanation of the symbol is just as bad as the black symbol.

FN Posted: Thu Jun 17 11:38:40 2004 Post | Quote in Reply
Besides, I'm much too interesting to simply ignore.

If I could ignore my mother and father for 3 consecutive years, I can certainly ignore you. And this is -the- last post I post geared towards you until you put down that nasty thing.

Very well.

I'll keep it up 'till the day I die.

And you have already reacted to me again. Hah!

By the way, just so you'd know lol, believe it or not but I was going to change it right after I would have read the new posts.

Thx for stopping me.

Alright, this works. I have a fear of starting threads. I don't know why.

>Chris
>The choice does not exist if the kid hasn't been "created" yet.

When is it officially created? Must it have the ability to say whether or not it wants to be?

>erikagm
>What if the kid -does- want to be born and you decide not to have him/her?

What if every sperm that ever existed wanted to fertilize an egg and be born?

Do you believe in a soul?
