Winter Doldrums
lazyelephant Posted: Tue Feb 8 19:49:15 2005 Post | Quote in Reply
I HATE WINTER!! does anyone else feel the same? i mean, it's a terrible time of the year. the only good part is Christmas and New Year's, and those are one-day events. i am not a snow/cold person either. i'd much rather prefer being on some tropical island (minus mosquitos and dirspes [it's a scrambled word]) wearing a cute bikini while snuggling in a hammock with my guy. it's a much better setting then here in the states, wearing sweaters and snowboots in the middle of a two-foot snowdrift.

and then there's always the flu...despised virus...and head colds that involve sore throats, runny noses and stuffy sinuses.

i can't stand this climate...i must leave it quickly, before i am a victim of spontaneous combustion!!

Then it's YOUR fault for not being Jewish! lol

Because random weather patterns contribute to high levels of methane gas in the body? ;p

Do it with cute fluffy bunnies. They are much more amusing to see explode.

  I wasn't the one complaining about...stuff. ; )
I'm not jewish, but I'm not really anything.
Holidays have lost any meaning for me.

Nothing's impossible? Just improbable?

Do you really want your dog to blow up?

Winter is my favourite part of year.

Cold and dark and dreary, makes me happy.

Summer sucks. Warm and sunny and green. Meh.

I'd say that autumn rocks, but the leaves suck, so cool summer nights rock! They have the darkness of winter, but no snow and/or leaves everywhere.

I think that's a question we all must ask: If nobody's on the site, are there names on the logged-in list?

I'm a super-hero! You may remember me from Alpha Flight, eh.

Yay for Monty Python references indeed!

I hate how people complain about how much they hate their climate as if I'm supposed to give a shit, what a sorry excuse to use the word doldrum. Every season has its pros and cons, and discussing about how much you hate the fact that it's "FUCKING FREEZIGN AND CLOD OUT HERE, I WANT TEH SUMMER!!!" isn't going to change a thing. I don't give a shit, mother nature doesn't give a shit.

Stupid posts suck.

I'm the same way. I don't want you guys to know how many times i pop on this place during a normal day.

*anyway, i know from reliable sources that when you cookie your name JQ can send you dark subliminal messages through your computer at night telling you to spank your monkey. I didn't have one so i ended up chastizing my hamster.

winter: couple feet of snow, ice everywhere, blocked roads, school still open
spring: mud mud mud, school still open, rain, more mud
summer: humid, bugs, working outside, time goes by quick
fall: rainy, snowy, hot, cold, bugs, outside work, school

Western New York sucks all year round

I like autumn, and "autumn"...and mat_j!

I kinda like everything, but if I made a list, winter would have to be last.

I have had enough by now. I am ready for flip flops! And less clothing.

Frankly, I'm ready for you to start wearing less clothing, too. TWO CHEERS FOR THAT!

Winter only bothers me when there's no snow, just cold and ice and rain. I can't fling off my coat and shoes in winter rain. I really don't deal well with cold or heat, but I'm just generally defective like that. Spring and autumn are the best, but any seaon that takes more than its share of the year is not good.

For some reason I was just reminded of Peter Pan...
