  the simpleman journals.
mad about tees.

i have this unhealthy obession about teeshirts.
i own a truckload of tees. i shit you not, i swear.
ask any friends about my obession and they can tell you how bloody unhealthy it is.
if tee-shirts constitute to any part of the food chain, i'd be a sad obsese man who'd either die of
1) heart attack
2) stroke
3) a bloody eating disorder

but hey, since james dean says it's cool... u can suck on my [add any part of chan's disgusting anatomy here]

thing is. jimmy dean ain't as cool i am.
he wears only white. how fucking boring and queer can that get?

sheesh. white tees. faggot.

how look at what i got here.
a vintage mickey mouse tee.
now that's cool.

a tee shirt that says 'save a mouse, eat some pussies...'
now that's cool.

rules of teeshirts.
1) not too tight.
yup. unless u want to be one of those titty tee wearing macho fudgepackers, go ahead.

2) not too loose.
rule of thumb. if u ain't black, don't even think of it.
stop trying to be vanilla ice. no matter how u accessorise yourself, u aren't gonna get street cred.

3) not too old.
vintage is cool. moth eaten is pathetic. the salvation army look was never in.

4) not too new.
the miami vice look is already passe. i know colin farrell is starring in the new remake but u're not colin farrell so don't even think about it. stop trying to look like a FOB.

how do u wear tees?
untucked, with some accessories, a decent haircut, a pair of vintage (or at least well worn pair) of jeans and some old school kicks.

now that's street.

look at justin timberlake, usher, colin farrell, and aston kutcher.
and look at the girls/women beside them. coincidence? i think not.

too casual? wear a slim cut jacket or blazer.

my advice. accessorise accessorise and accessories.
and don't be afriad to play with layering...
wear with attitude.
wear with pride.
wear it to suit your identity not the other way around.

now that's cool.

remember.
it's not the clothes that make the man... it's your style that sets you apart.

Dear Chan,
I have some T's and a casual sport coat and faded jeans, BUT is it kewl (notice the cool way to spell kwel)to include my black cowboy boots with this ensemble, or must it be old school kicks?

I may not be Chan, but I can safely say that in Atlanta, Georgia (and seeing you are a midwestern boy, no?) cowboy boots are perfectly fine. You'd look like a muppet in converse anyway.

Secondly,
http://www.candccalifornia.com
has the best teeshirts in the world. Grin. I love 'em all.

Thirdly, I'm a knob. What're ya gonna do?
