  It isn't completely invisible.
I am not certain who started the thing and didn't know for some time that it was even possible to make such threads.

Either way, I had been lurking invisibly within the invisible thread and they didn't know, but I had to come out and intervene when one of the posters made an un-acceptable comment.

If you feel like you are missing out, don't.

Penis. Tackle hugs. There, you are caught up.

Not so much missing out, just a general form of confusion...don't like being confused, and I have an excruciating (sp) headache right now. doubt its related to the invisible thread, but could be.

>Penis. Tackle hugs. There, you are caught up.

okay, thanks...

I posted on the previous invisible thread.

Still, it irritates me.

Heads will roll because of this.

Steps for getting onto invisible threads instead of just reading the individual posts on the search:

1) Find a post on that thread using the search
2) put your cursor thingy on the "post" or "quote in reply". You may see, on the status bar, if you have it on, "javascript...blah blah blah...thread_id=" then a 5 digit number
3) go to a thread and replace the thread ID # with the one of the invisible thread

so far:
1) 55676
2) 61075

I couldn't make it work for me =( meh, I guess I'll just stick to visibles...

  You're brilliant, Ed. Brilliant!
But you should introduce yourself to everyone here now that you're posting.

And a warning to those of you actually daring to follow his instructions..

if you read the forbidden thread it'll make you go blind!

..or at least get a bad case of heartburn

just look up in the window where you internet address is listed. see thread_id at the top?
fill in the new number, then have at it. you could create a zillion new secret threads by putting an unused number in that space.

addi Posted: Mon Apr 11 18:46:51 2005 Post | Quote in Reply
Actually i take that back, Ed. You're not brilliant, you're confusing!

*of course i must consider the slight possibility that i'm technically challenged, and only learned how to copy and paste last year.

"javascript...blah blah blah...thread_id=" then a 5 digit number"

This doesn't show up on my screen

Mark?
Hmmm....
Why do I get this feeling that there's more to you(and your history here) than meets the eye? Now I'm curious. Nobody refers to me as Mark here, even my bestest buds. Not insulted (Mark's a lovely name...ask hif) at all, just find it unusual.
And keep dipping your foot...the water's fine : )

PS: We would never do that to JQ. We love GT too much. But a little mischief is never out of order.

LOL just a couple of hours ago I thought of that phrase. I dont remember what it was I was thinking about that made me think of that phrase, but for some reason I thought of it.

I remember now. I was thinking how the first Matrix was really a documentary made by the machines. They made it and put it into the matrix for us to see so we wouldnt get suspicious. Their thinking was that we humans would just think "Well hell, if the Matrix really existed, they would NEVER have a movie like that put in here that allows us to even consider the possibility." And then, how the next two Matrixes werent documentaries, just really shitty movies.
