Do sandwiches taste better cut in triangles or squares? Crusts or no?

Going on a picnic today and was thinking about that. I seem to recall from the glory days of yore that the best picnic sandwich was honey and peanut butter on white bread, with crust, cut into two triangles served with puffy cheetos and milk. But I was 5 then so I dunno what's good now.

The last time I went on a picnic I sat by a river watching the world go by while munching on ham and swiss on a kaiser roll washed down with sobe green tea. That seemed to work but I was alone then. This time I'll have along three friends and all their kids (5 kids ranging age 2 to 8, oi.)

Anyway, sandwich thoughts?

  Triangles w/ Crust

Crunchy cheetos or Pringles

Sit there and knock back a couple juice boxes...good times...

I think that with sandwiches you're not referring to actual sandwiches but to slices of bread, right?

I've never seen anybody here cut them into triangles or whatever, you just take 2 full slices of bread and put them together, or fold one slide, the way it's supposed to be.

You guys over there are so wierd! : )

I cut mine into parallelograms. It makes them chock full of sandwichy goodness.

Just opened my fortune cookie after lunch today. It said:
"Slow and steady wins the girl."

Hmmm

Dude,
1) it's my day off
2) I make my living off drugs, while well paying it's never a very pressing job.

  Screw the sandwich !
Take a French bread baguette and cut it in half lengthwise so you have two long pieces of bread canoes.
slather them both liberally with butter and then sprinkle heavily with cinnamon/sugar mix.
Put them under the broiler till the cinnamon/sugar mixture caramelizes and the canoes get good and crispy around the edges.

If you don't like this, you can kiss my ass, cuz it's delicious !

When I was a kid I could've lived on those peanut butter and honey sandwiches, on wheat, no crust, but I don't care for sandwiches anymore.

Screw sammiches and go with a generous pile of garlic bread and spaghetti with marinara (hot or cold- on a pretty day it doesn't matter). Italian comes my nerves when I get very anxious.
Oooh, and fresh lemonade with ground up raspberries.

I like them cut in squares, with the crust left on, and plenty of cheese and mango chutney.

ham & cheese
ham & tomato
ham, cheese & tomato
ham & lettuce
cheese & lettuce
ham, cheese, tomato & lettuce

you only need 4 things to make at least 6 different, quality sandwiches.

  Triangles taste better than squares.
And it doesn't seem like a sandwhich without the crust.
