New lyrics thread for your favourite songez!

(Eta pesnya o samom prekrasnom gorode v mire - MOSKVA!)

Diese Stadt ist eine Dirne,
hat rote Flecken auf der Stirn'
Ihre Zähne sind aus Gold,
sie ist fett und doch so hold
Ihr Mund füllt ihr zu Tale,
wenn ich sie dafür bezahle
Sie zieht sich aus,
doch nur für Geld
Die Stadt die mich in Atem hält..

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

(MOSKVA!)
(Poyehali!)

Raz dva tri

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda ty noch'yu krepko spish)

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda ty predo mnoy lezhish)

Ich sehe was, was du nicht siehst
(Kogda so mnoyu govorish)

Ich sehe was, das siehst du nie

Raz dva tri

Chorus:
MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)
(Pionery tam idut, Pesni Leninu poyut)

MOSKAU!, (Raz dva tri)
MOSKAU!, (Posmotri)

  Jack Johnson - The News

A billion people died on the news tonight
But not so many cried at the terrible sight
Well mama said
It's just make believe
You can't believe everything you see
So baby close your eyes to the lullabies
On the news tonight

Who's the one to decide that it would be alright
To put the music behind the news tonight
Well mama said
You can't believe everything you hear
The diagetic world is so unclear
So baby close your ears
On the news tonight
On the news tonight

The unobtrusive tones on the news tonight
And mama said

Why don't the newscasters cry when they read about people who
die?
At least they could be decent enough to put just a tear in their
eyes
Mama said
It's just make believe
You cant believe everything you see
So baby close your eyes to the lullabies
On the news tonight

I put this song on repeat and go to sleep. I've been doing this most nights for the past couple years.

John Lee Hooker - Serves you Right to Suffer

It serves you right to suffer, serves you right to be alone
It serves you right to suffer, serves you right to be alone
Because you're still livin' in the days done back and gone

Every time you see a woman, she makes you think of yours
Every time you see a woman, she makes you think of yours
And that's why, that's why, that's why you can't keep from crying

Your doctor put you on milk, cream, and alcohol
Your doctor put you on milk, cream, and alcohol
He told you that's why you can't sleep at night; your hurt is so bad

Every time you see a woman, she makes you think of yours
Every time you see a woman, she makes you think of yours
She treated you so bad you just couldn't keep from crying

Your life will never be the same,
You're still livin' in the days done past and gone"

-John Lee Hooker

Have you ever listened to "murder" by John Lee Hooker and Miles Davis ?
Not exactly traditional blues, but very interesting to say the least.

Limewire kicks everything else in the balls.

Any other file sharing programs can lick my ass while jerkin' me off at the same time, as far as I'm concerned.

I love this song oh-so many reasons. Mainly because it's by TMBG and those immortal opening two lines. Great beat too.

They Might Be Giants - I Should Be Allowed To Think

I saw the best minds of my generation
Destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical
I should be allowed to glue my poster
I should be allowed to think

I should be allowed to glue my poster
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
And I should be allowed to blurt the merest idea
If by random whim, one occurs to me
If necessary, leave paper stains on the grey utility pole

I saw the worst bands of my generation
applied by magic marker to dry wall
I should be allowed to shoot my mouth off
I should have a call in show

I should be allowed to glue my poster
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
And I should be allowed to blurt the merest idea
If by random whim, one occurs to me
If necessary, leave paper stains on the grey utility pole

I am not allowed
To ever come up with a single original thought
I am not allowed
To meet the criminal government agent who oppresses me

I was the worst hope of my generation
Destroyed by madness, starving, hysterical
I should be allowed to share my feelings
I should be allowed to feel

I should be allowed to glue my poster
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
I should be allowed to think
And I should be allowed to blurt the merest idea
If by random whim one occurs to me
But sadly, this can never be

I am not allowed to think
I am not allowed to think
I am not allowed to think (I am not allowed to think)
I am not allowed to think (I am not allowed to think)
I am not allowed to think (I am not allowed to think)
I am not allowed to think (I am not allowed to think)
