Heh, at first i thought it was a nice post about drink and family. But alas, nowhere is safe from messages about the Irag war.
it's all been said before. though the drinking laws in america always make me laugh.
i think the first time i got drunk was wheni was 12 or so. 21 seems very strange indeed. any thoughts on that?

Yeah, most Americans get their first drunk around 12 or 13 too.
That's not really a thing to brag about.

There is no "message" about the war in Iraq, it is merely mentioned in passing.
The "message" is about family.

"MAYBE NEXT THANKSGIVING Robert and all his new friends will be fine. Maybe all our soldiers will be fine, and everything in Iraq will be fine, too. Maybe they'll all be okay. But they won't, will they? Some will be hurt, won't they? Some horribly. Some worse."

sigh
Young brave men (and women) being cut down daily over there... in the prime of their life.
Is it worth it?

Some say yes; it's the price we pay for spreading democracy to the middle east.

Others say no; The cost in human lives isn't worth the benefits.

You know where I come down on this. I'll just leave it at that for now.

Yes, we all know where you come down on this and we all know where I stand.
Are you saying the author is sending a message about his stance ?

Naw...I think the author is just praying that things get better over there.

I already know the stance of the web site. All you have to do is look at the other stories to find out it's anti-liberal and pro Bush. I was shocked of course that you would be viewing such a site
: )

I had never even heard of him before this article.

"Miller also writes a regular political-humor column in The Weekly Standard, generally taking traditional, conservative positions on a variety of issues, and is particularly known for his biting anti-Palestinian, pro-Israeli positions."
