So, do you enjoy sunrises or sunsets more?

I luuurrrrvvvveeee sunsets. Sunrises are just pure evil. They bring nothing but horror and carnage, each day.

i went through a period where i couldn't miss a single sunrise. once it came i could go to sleep. it was a safe sort of feeling.
these days sunsets makes me feel happy and relaxed. especially on the warm evenings as i sit outside with a beverage and without shoes. if i am awake to see the sun rise, i start to get anxious.

sunrise. i like sunsets definitely, especially in winter when it means it's time to put a fire in the fireplace, but i like the quiet that morning brings... and the fact that you can get so much done before everyone else's day starts.

but maybe i like both.

i don't know!

i should rephrase - if i am awake [because i haven't yet gone to bed] to see the sun rise, i start to get anxious.

:S

I don't enjoy one more than the other. I get to see a lot of sunrises because I workout at 5:00am and its a good way to start the day. For me, in a strange sense its a reminder that its a new day with new possibilities and new chaos and new everything. Some of it may be similar to the previous day but its still new.

I like sunsets because its a chance to reflect. Here in Colorado I like the sunsets because as the sun goes down behind the rockies, if there is some cloud cover over the mountains it renders some of the most beautiful sun sets I've seen.

My son saw one the other day and said the mountain was on fire, and I'll be damned if it didn't look like it was on fire. The sun was this deep orange and had just slipped behind one of the peaks. There was some cloud cover still so it was reflecting back down onto the mountain in the whole western panorama had this orange glow to it. Pretty awesome.

But I like the reflective nature of a sunset. A chance to see just relax and take inventory of the day.

For what it's worth...

I like sunsets more. I don't like being awake for sunrise; not waking up in time for OR still being awake for.

...and by "drugs" I meant tea and aspirin. I wouldn't want to cast unfounded aspersions on your fine character...that's such a republican thing to do.

*zacq! so good to see you around again. I feared you had been set adrift on an antartic iceberg that was slowly melting into oblivion.

I like sunrises much better then sunsets. There's something about them. I feel reborn and clean. Like perhaps that sunrise would cleanse my many many sins. It revives me and I feel put together and motivated.

Sunsets are like the day is dying and I feel full of regrets. The should'ves, could'ves, would'ves but didn'ts come back to haunt me.
