Making love, is it so important?
quartooggiaro Posted: Thu Oct 12 05:34:30 2006 Post | Quote in Reply
What do you think about it? Would you ever leave another person if the love you make is not satisfactory enough?

I'm sure there are steps you can take to try improve it before it comes to the point where you're willing to quit.

Making love can be very beautiful (if you are in love with the person). I believe the times I've had intimacy with a person I wasn't too close with I didn't think much of it... it wasn't love.
Making love these days is love expressed in ways that words cannot possibly capture. It's beautiful, delicate, fierce, lovely, clumsy at times, etc. But, it's only one aspect of the relationship; there are many other things that tie me and my darling together. I'm finally with the one I've waited 2 years for. I'm at peace and happy. *dreamy sigh*

>Would you ever leave another person if the love you make is not satisfactory enough?

i don't believe I'd ever be so shallow. Making love can and does improve if you care about the person.

If you are just having a sexual relationship; then I suppose you'd leave them if it wasn't what you wanted it to be.

I absolutely hate the term "making love," by the way.
does anyone else feel that way?

It just sounds so cheesy or something. Especially in a world where sex often has nothing to do with love.
If someone said something like "want to make love" seriously to me, i'd probably burst out laughing.

The truth of it is that there are no easy, comfortable terms that apply for all people.

What is the better term?

There are the romantic ones (making love, etc)

there are the dirty ones (fucking, doin' it)

there are the semicomical ones (shnobbing, humping)

there are the addison ones (herding)

you know.

  I'm glad Christophe posted.

Other than that, I don't feel feelings. I'm of no use to society.

i like the term "bufing" pronounced boofing.

though some of my friends have taken to calling it "yeah-ing." as in, "Ya know when you yeah."

"Make love" weirds me out too.

I prefer the good, old fashioned term SEX.

I understand that they have dfferent meanings, and of course, with me, it'll probably always be the more important love-based stuff. But I just hate the term. It's just silly sounding.

I believe Canadians prefer to call it "coitus time".

*Quebecians prefer "mettez à feu le sabre léger"...which means "Igniting the Lightsaber".

I guess for most of us the term "making love" will always have something to do with sex, but for Addi making love just means playing tennis.
:-)
