Hallowe'en
Posted: Fri Oct 13 11:04:58 2006 Post | Quote in Reply
What's everybody doing for hallowe'en? what are your costumes of choice?

Personally, a friend in town is having a Pirates vs. Vikings costume party, it's looking to be a pretty hilarious time. We've even got a media sponsor.

I will dressing up as a viking. I look forward to it.

aww. you should be a pirate. They're way hotter than vikings.

I have no idea what I'm going to do for Halloween. my boyfriend and I joked about being Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones (since we're both anthro/archaeology people). But I don't like short shorts.
I really would like to be Ilsa from Casablanca.

  Ilsa from Casablanca...
Be still my beating heart!!!

It's a pirate for me this year too, this very much is a good time for pirates. I of course have been smuggling duty free and weapons since 99. So i'm not a post ironic pirate, and i'd never be scared by a bnag machine on a cruise liner either.

i know. but i still like pirates better. I think it has to do with the settings. Coldness vs. caribbean.
My ancestors were probably vikings way way back, so I can't dislike them too much...

My friends and I are the six teams from the american kids show (from the early 90's) Legends of the Hidden Temple. There are 12 of us and we have the official t-shirts and painted gold helmets and knee pads and so on. Everywhere we have been so far has had a huge response. Very fun times.

I will be going to work, attending my writer's workshop, and ... something going as the Doctor. The Doctor (look at the icon!)
"Doctor. Doctor who? It's more than just a secret, isn't it?"

Still aiming for a pint or 3. I think I'll head to KBG Bar, which is decorated in old Russian propaganda. Spooky Soviets!!!

I've seen the premiere. Awesome much? Indeed it is. That is the Doctor's cut-off hand in the jar, correct?
I'll put a photo of myself up.

Lol, Addi did you just pimp me off?

And my halloween was great, I got to my friends house in time to stop him giving the trick or treaters beer and made friends with the small children who came to his door, because all we could offer was bottle caps, as payday is tomorrow and there is no food in his house.

welsh men come from hardy stock. They're hard to break. You can abuse them and they just bounce right back for more.

Ooer, maybe I should move there. But I've already decided I'm marrying an Irishman (for the accent you know) Or Scottish! Whenever I hear Scottish people I laugh because they sound like Billy Connoly. All of them. :D

Billy Connoly is one of the funniest men alive, but can he install a set of dilithium crystals on a starship ?

He's the Irish lead singer for a small band that probably never made it big down your way.

U2

I'm snuggling on a couch currently with my sweetie watching The Burbs at his Dad's house. Yay.... I love the small pleasure of not having to work on this night. *runs back to get nestled into his arms*

ps. I'm glad GT is back up and rolling.
