I use a Macbook. I recently updated the system because well the Mac updater told me to. Soooo I did, and now it is extremely slow and fuddled up. Anybody know how I can rectify this sin against my pride and joy (no smart ass comments, please). I plan on going in to the store soon but have yet to get a chance.

That's not a smart ass comment, but sound advice.

christophe... i resent that comment. if u're happy with virus and unstable operating system, carry one with windows.

as much as i love macs, the mac book pro is a disappointment.

1) dude, try going to the macworld website and ask the people in the forum.

2) don't clutter your desktop with a million files, it will only slow down your mac.

3) maybe you RAM is causing the problem.

ditto (and this comes from a Mac convert)

I've never heard of anything like that happening, though, so I have no help.

I've never had a virus on my computer, neither will you if you don't open exe files even though it gives you a warning and you have a virus scanner, windows xp is about as stable as you could want and rarely grinds to a halt.

Mac being stabeler/safer than regular computers is a myth, it's just that there are a lot more people using computers so a lot more morons as well who do stuff they aren't supposed to.

However, the biggest advantage to a computer: it doesn't look gay and you can take stuff out/put stuff in and upgrade it if needed without having to run to the shop
