On second thought I think I'll seperate this into 3 questions.

Do you think you are beautiful?

Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

What is beautiful?

no

>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

I've been told plenty of times that i'm adorable and cute. Puck thinks I'm beautiful. I certainly don't think I am but that's my belief.

>What is beautiful?

it's different from person to person. and something one person can't answer without someone else thinking it's gross.

Not really. I don't think I'm anything al l that special in terms of overall appearance. But then again I'm my own worst critic. Right now my hair is far too long and I don't like it. So no I don't think I'm much of anything special in that regard.
>
>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

I don't know. I had one person tell me one day I looked like Denzel Washington and I almost peed myself laughing. I had my receptionist tell me that her sister thought I was "the perfect eye candy." which if that is actually what she said I am so freaked out that someone would say that. Again, laughed till I almost peed. I have had others tell me that I'm decent looking. Again, I don't know and I'm not a good judge of character.
>
>What is beautiful?

Depends on where you are. What you are looking at and what you are looking for. I know people who are not physically stunning, but who are attractive because of an inner confidence they have. I can find beauty in most anyone because it exists in most anyone. Don't get me started on how messed up the concepts of beauty are in this world.

For what it's worth...

I think I'm very pretty, yes. In a good week, and when I have an excuse to wear something other than sweats or scrubs, even beautiful.

>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

No. Not ordinarily. I think if I were more of a people person, you know, with a warmer personality, that might be different. Also I have a rotten complexion.

Hope and integrity.

There are some good points, there are some bad points.

>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?
Nope... no way. Not that I now actually. When girls / women comment on that I usually hear that I'm "not ugly"... And according to mass media, I absolutly am not beautyful.

>What is beautiful?
That depends if you only take outer beauty or also want inner beauty. Since the people before me only commented on outer beauty, it is in the eye of the beholder. It differs from person to person, perhaps a bit twisted by the influence of others.

Changes day to day...usually not.

>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

I have been told from time to time that i'm pretty, or beautiful.

>What is beautiful?

completely depends on the person looking. Of course, the dominant society has its say often, but people generally don't stick with just that one standard of beauty.

  Huh. Interesting.

From here it looks like it boils down even further into 2 questions.

Is beauty being modest,

Or is beauty being totally into yourself?

addi Posted: Tue Jan 30 07:19:18 2007 Post | Quote in Reply
this is really a very subjective question. I'm tempted to write a really long post on the nature of aesthetics, but that would bore the hell out of everyone, cept maybe Crim.
: )

We're all seen as ugly by someone. We're all seen as beautiful by someone.

I don't view human beauty as a static thing, no matter how you define it. How others see us and how we view ourselves can change with the winds.

It's a feeling you get by looking at something, anything, whether it's art, nature or people...
And it's different for everyone

No, I donít think I am beautiful.
I KNOW I am beautiful. :D

(* ahem * What I mean was I have a beautiful heart and a beautful mind. :D)

>Do you think other people think you're beautiful?

Depends.

I have been told numerous times that I am beautiful - by colleagues, classmates, strangers I run into at restaurants or bump into at the library, or sometimes the guy in the car next lane while I stop at the traffic lights .... Iíve had guys chasing me on the highways for miles just to tell me that I am so gorgeous, and I must be born to be an object of menís desire.... blah blah blah * LOL*

I have also been told a thousand times by family members and close friends that it is an embarassment to be seen in public with me, and that I look like _________________ a) a homeless lady, b) a pathetic starving artist, c) a good ole bum, d) all of the above

Oh well, opinions are like anuses, everybody has one. People are entitled to their opinions, ya know?

>What is beautiful?

The models at Milan. *LOL * Just joshing you.

Kindness, caring, compassion, gentleness, sincerity, confidence, self-control and intelligence.
And for a man: sense of humor and a beautiful Italian nose. :D
