I'm really hot right now. Work is a bitch. Americans are generally lazy. My hands are covered in cuts. I am running between a million things right now. Energy drinks are my fucking savior.

Thank You Chuck Norris

  Norris is a hairy pansy!

Work is going to give me one more savage beating and then leave me alone. Also, I am going to New York two weeks from Monday. Woohoo!

  Let me rant too!

So starting Wednesday, my phone decides to go on the fritz and tell me every minute it has no service. Thursday, I move, but don't get the keys to the apartment until like 3 in the afternoon. Then, while moving, my check engine light comes on. Thursday night, we find out random outlets don't work or flux in power (Not good for computers...). Also, even after the cable guy came I still have no internet! Bah. Not to mention, the hassle of unpacking. *whine*

Ok, I think I am better now.

: )

As long as they're home made chocolate chip cookies.
The problem I have is that I make the dough with the best of intentions of getting it into the oven, but then I always end up just eating the cookie dough. I'm so weak :(

On an totally unrelated subject I went to my first ever buddhist wedding yesterday. What a hoot..complete with kneeling on cushions, gongs, incense, a shrine, and meditation. Great people there, and the home made pale ale beer afterwards was so tasty...and strong!

If I was ever inclined to get into an organized religion again (which I'm not)I do believe I'd have to give Buddhism some serious thought.
The only big drawback I see is that I can't pronounce any of the names of the spiritual teachers...
"Chogyam Trungpa"?

I think they give westerns some latitude in the pronunciation. I readily admit in conversations that I'm horrible at pronouncing names... and for that fact it doesn't matter what part of the world the name is from. there is a decent chance I will butcher it. Which is why I use initials.. CT for Chogyam Trungpa... etc...

I just started reading another book by Lama Suyra Das called "Awekening to the Sacred." He's a western Lama and is a pretty good author.

For what it's worth...

I am! Tonight a visit to Margaritaville.

To celebrate the long long wait for the college football season..Whooooa...Nelly!

I know 95% of you out there could care less, but I'm so dag-gummed excited that there's something else on besides put-me-to-sleep pro baseball and watching highlights of the 100 ways Beckham finds to get injured.

GO
BIG
RED!!!!!!

  I know the feeling.
I just got one of those flat screen HD thingies and had it mounted on my living room wall.
Watched my Louisville Cardinals flatten a hapless Murray State last nite 73-10.
It was awesome !

i'm waiting for hockey season :)

and i'm also annoyed by Beckham. i will admit i still think he's rather attractive to look at but the more i hear about him [and his awful prepubescent voice] he just appears to be more and more of a douche.

also, i hate margaritas.

bothered by Beckham I can agree with

the loving hockey I can overlook

hating margaritas is unforgiveable though. My trip north to meet you in a Canadian bar in now off!

Yes it is, but Nov was referring to the nickname of the college she is a fan of...Winthorpe. It's an all girl institution and the co-eds are so clean and so fresh that they're known as the Winthorpe "Winterfresh".
Their motto is "So clean you can eat us off the floor".

I'm sure of it

I like to sing it in the shower. It's inspiring

We cheer the Winthrope Cream and Pink.
We cheer as our skirts fall down.
We pledge anew, we're all for you,
As the team goes munching through
Lick 'Em! Lick 'Em!

We cheer The Winthorpe Winterfresh bold,
So clean you can eat us off the floor.
So we lay down, spread and shout,
for the Winthorpe Cream and Pink.
Zzzip! Zip go our Zi--ippers!
Zzzip! Zip go our Zi--ippers!
Winthrope screams Cream and Pink,
All for you and the other team too!

I'm a dude, but I could shave my legs, put on a dress and a wig and you can pretend I'm a plinker...if that would work.

So wonderful to have had the long holiday weekend. The weather was finally nice yesterday so took of in the convertable and headed up to the mountains. Nothing like driving on curvey mountain roads with the top down, looking at the scenery and feeling the cool breeze...
except it really does a number on your hair.
