Hair

So i've decided to color my hair for the very first time ...
I'll be rubbing the stinky stuff in it right after i'm done making this post ;)
This could turn out awfully wrong or maybe it'll be ok... I hope for the best :)
Anyhow, i'm dying it... autumnred

It should be away after about 6 to 8 weeks, so i should just try to avoid any social contact during that time if this turns out bad ;)

Have any of you ever put some kind of color on your hair?? Wich one was it and would you do it again?

Anyhow now I think about it, I hope it's visible, because I do have very dark hair, anyhow, putting it on

...
...

Right now
(I'm such a woess)

  Go for it! Woohoo

pics please with the results. Inquiring minds want to see : )

*never colored mine, and don't plan on it when it turns all gray either.

I colored mine velvet blue two or three times as a teenager. I loved it and would do it again if I could avoid teasing by my coworkers. And my boss. And my sifu. And people on the street. *Paranoia attack*

Good for you Imagine. I bet you look awesome.

I want it a bit redder, but several of my friends called this idea "stupid" and suggested that "[I] should never ever do that, that if I want to change my hair color, I should make it darker."

Usually if I want to do something to my hair, I don't cut it, making longer, until I freak out because it's too long and cut it all off. It feels better short

  Well I survived

AND I LOVE IT :)

It didn't turn out all flashy (thank god)= first fear
And it's still visible = second fear :)

It's copper/orangy warm shiny or something like that :)

Will put on pic asap especially for you addi :)

I had the worst experience with hair dye EVER.
I will never do it again. But sometimes I wish I could.

Various shades of blue, dark red, bright pink, and green. It was fun, I would like to do it again but life as a corperate drone is prohibiting me. I might add a red tint though, I got the dye a while ago and haven't used it.

To start, my hair is a naturally medium brown color with red and blonde highlights. In itself it's very pretty, but sometimes due to stress it becomes ashen and then I get the frenetic and burning urge to dye it.

I have dyed my hair several different colors. Once it was blue, like Kira, and I loved it, but I can't do it again. Not at 29 and working for a multinational corporation with clients like Nextel and HP and Dell anyway. *sigh*

Usually tho, it's either lighter brown (to counter the ashen look) or reddish. I've gone through all sorts of reds, except the purplish gamma, which I don't particularly like.

Thankfully, I look rather good with most any color since I'm relatively light-skinned, freckly, and have what you might call "delicate" features.

My only problem is that I have to be careful to choose dye that is of a known good brand and that is not too harsh (not too heavy on ammonia or peroxide) since I have what you may call "baby" hair which gets damaged easily, and to top it all off, LOTS of allergies.

I've recently been wondering how I'd look as a blond, but I doubt my hair would withstand the peroxide treatment needed, so I'll pass on that one and just go with a really light brown.

As a teenager I always wanted to dye it black, but my mother always said it would make my features look harsh. Has anyone been told that and then dyed it anyway? I'd like to know how that turned out...

I don't dye my hair, for I am not a hippy.

For a guy to dye his hair he doesn't necessarily have to be a hippie Cristophe...

He could be goth, and dye his hair black...

He could be punk, and dye his hair any color of the rainbow...

He could be a member of a gang, and dye it in his gang colors...

He could be gay, and dye it a color that makes him look handsome...

He could be an older man who wants to cover the grey hairs...

He could also be Dennis Rodman... Although I don't know if he's really a man after seeing him in that dress :S

Hehehe

My mom said the same thing when I was thinking of dying it black. But I never did. Instead I went with red. Turned out okay.

I'll rephrase, I'm not a hippy and I'm not gay.

I've found that usually those that loudly deny being a hippy or gay are in fact a hippy and gay.

Which is why when I'm asked I tell people I'm a gay hippy

: )

Well now that you mention it, I did have relatively long hair once upon a time and I've been thinking about anal bleaching.

Kind of let the thought go once I found out I'd run a higher risk of getting ass cancer.

It looks good but I like my women with natural hair colour.

I'm a conservative guy, whattayagonnado.

Also, is it strange that I totally got a kick out of reading this:

On a side note, since bleaching is out, how about a fucked up anal piercing, anyone?

On another side note, how's life hif.

Well in the series of "first time stuff"

I had my first car accident today, jeej (got smashed into 2 cars while leaving the parkingplace, and it was my own stupid fault)
I blame the hair...

Anyhow only car damage ,no human damage, and a slight panic/heartattack on my behalf...

Glad to hear no one was hurt.
By the way you look great !

I'm still umemployed but doing OK.
I have two or three prospects for gainful employment but nothing solid yet.
Fortunately I'm in a position where I can wait for just the right opportunity before accepting any offers.
At least for awhile anyway.
And I get to catch up on a lot of daytime TV !

I used to dye my hair in my punk days, usually blueblack and sometimes red, i remember having black hair with bright blue spikes, that was fun, nowadays i just let it roll wild and free but it's so thick no spikey hairstyle lasts very long.

Bid that heart stay, and it will stay,
To honor thy decrees;
Or bid it languish quite away,
And 't shall do so for thee.

Bid me despair and I'll despair,
Under that cypress tree;
Or bid me die, and I will dare
E'en death, to die for thee.

Thou art my life, my love, my heart,
The very eyes of me;
And hast command of every part,
To live and die for thee.

I mean, yeah, no more anal piercings, my dear.

Now that you've done so madam, you'll need to throw me a frickin' bone here and give me something worthy of my enormous expectations.

Also, on a totally unrelated note:

Glad you're okay. If it helps I totaled my mom's car when I was 15 and not even legal to drive it alone :(
Live and learn

>I blame the hair...

You can blame me. A lot of people do.

  thanks Innocence :)

And addi, glad to hear you messed it up too ;)

The car still drives...it's only bumped in front, and the sides ...
It's not really drastic because the car was bought for learning , it's already 14 years old, the poor thing...
Just don't know if I can do my driversexam riding that car, wouldn't look that good :)

And well I learned indeed, I shall always look behind me and not only trust the mirror while leaving my parkingspot :) Lesson learned.

Tried to do the ends of mine red once so that you could only see it in the sun. Didn't work. Turned it brown. But my hair grows ridiculously fast so it didn't last long.

Was going to die it green because I wanted to be Cosmo from Fairly Odd Parents for Halloween, but there were some issues with adhereing to the uniform requirement at work with green hair...

Not that it matters...
