Hey, Guys!

So really, what's new with all of you? Anything exciting? Mundane? Anything at all?

I wish I had something exciting to say. But alas, I do not. Same ol' same ol' here. Working during the day, trying to save up money for my next grand adventure. Hanging out with friends, not doing much exciting, just hanging out. I did get a new dog, however. A black terrier-mix....I'm not really sure on the breeds. A mutt, through and through. Cute as a button though, and sweet as can be. A little timid around strangers, but when she warms up to you, you better watch out. She's going to be lovin' on you somethin' fierce(no, not like that. Jeez.) I named her Stormtrooper of Death. Not really. I named her Ginger.

In other exciting news, I met someone from here. Was at someones house, didn't really know anyone but a few people, but I was there for a birthday....so what are you gonna do? I didn't feel right skipping out on it. But the conversation in a small group of people got onto cool/interesting/whatever websites we go to, and I mentioned GT. This young lady gets excited "Oh, I've been to that site etc, etc!" Turns out she's seen the forums a few times in the past and read some posts. Interesting. I tried to convince her to sign right up and post, but she didn't seem like she would. Oh well. It was weird meeting someone who already knows a little about you, though. Small world I guess.

So really. What's up, guys? Even if nothing big or grand is going on, what have ya'll been doing with yourselves lately?

That's pretty cool, Meshiemesh. I've talked oon the phone to a few fellow GT members, but only actually met one in person. That turned out to be...a story for another time.
I still have this dream that someday one of us would get really stinkin' rich and pay for the entire group of us regulars to meet someplace for a long weekend. What a hoot and interesting time that would be.
Ah well..it's fun to dream.

I'm doing a whole mess of domestic cleaning this weekend. Preparing for a first time visit from my 83 year old mom. She's going to stay here for a few weeks and give my older sister a much needed break from "caring" for her. While I'm looking forward to spending time with her I'm also a bit anxious about her coming. She still thinks I'm a good Evangelical religious son, bless her heart, and I don't think I'll be able to mask my true self from her for that length of time. She's also suffering from some senility and has a difficult time remembering things that she just said to us, among other things. I so do dread the coming day when I'm like that and my son is saying the same things about me : (
Other than that mostly just working and playing and having the occasional fantasy about liberal females.
: )

the Superbowl is here in Phoenix and everything is bustling. Driving anywhere takes twice as long and there are paparazzi camping out on the sidewalks just a block away from my condo. I'm working a lot lately, but it'll come to fruition soon enough: I'm almost out of my college debt!

Otherwise, not a whole lot. I have some people coming to visit me this month, and that will be fantastic I'm sure :)

Met another of us eh? I'm intrigued!?

Yeah i remember discussing this with you in the past, a grand ol' GT unification in some paradise somewhere!

I always wonder what it would be like to meet a fellow GTer (Outside of Paulo, Jasco and Anubis all of whom have come here on my recommendation), i guess i had my chance to meet a couple of you but didn't for one reason or another do it.

You didn't meet me Mat Underscore because you told me you were afraid I would reek of everything wrong with this world, and you didn't want anything to cover the sweet smell of that cuban you had.

It's alright though. What you don't know is I went to the pub anyways, and peed in your beer when you went to the restroom.

Yeah, well that's what I was sayin' when I signed up way back in the day as the number two person to ever post here.

But really though. It's always been just the two of us.

And Addi, you don't have to protect me. I'm not that innocent. It's ok if everyone knows we got piss drunk and did a rendition of unchained melody at the karaoke bar.

Shit, I just acknowledged someones existence.

Ok, it's just the three of us. Just him, and him, and me.

aw, congrats on getting Ginger, mister Meshie.

*

i've got some serious weirdness going on with one of my nerves. it has caused me a lot of discomfort, annoyance, boredom, and general pain in the arm, back and ass!

the dr has told me i have cubital tunnel syndrome but it started so high up on my arm that it is possible i may have some damage in my spine. will be going to see the dr for my x-ray results in a few days. i've been wearing a wrist brace for THREE WEEKS! BLAAARRRGGGH. and being a right-y, it is not fun having to type with my left hand only. i've gotten pretty good at it, mind you. and i've gotten accustomed to the brace, so i've started using my right hand a little more. writing short emails used to take me years!

i avoided taking any drugs for 3 weeks, but the pain was so bad so i gave in. i will rarely even take an advil so this was a huge step. now i regret it. these drugs are EVIL. they did weird things to me [mentally and physically] and made me piss like a racehorse.
:)
i'm off them now.

*

i always forget that i haven't met a few of you. it is perhaps my vivid imagination and weird dreams that make me think otherwise. i have met people from the internet before though. it was interesting.

addi Posted: Mon Feb 4 12:13:00 2008 Post | Quote in Reply
  question P:
what do you/they think caused the nerve damage issues in the first place?

I having to deal with it in my right thumb and below (not nearly as bad as you) and sometimes it's such a constant throbbing and ache that I can't do anything with it. Mine is all related to usinf my right hand on the mouse for 8 to 14 hours a day on a computer.

*sorry you're going through this

Packing up the kitchen at the moment. And working on packing up the rest of our stuff. Me and Puck are going to Kansas for a week to visit his family and job-hunt. Our jobs are pretty crappy so we are trying to get better ones out there. The end of our lease here is in May but we are fed up. Dave is looking at getting a management position at the local bakery. I'm thinking I'll trying and go for an assistant management position at a deli. Who knows.

the other thing i'm doing (hopefully) is Zorbing in the great smokey's for my upcoming birthday. W00t. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVQ-um2QU_M

Wha... how??? First GLC now Mumbles mile! Right that's it i'm making you an honourary Welshman, i name you Bledri Ap Govannon which i will now call you from now on. Bledri means Wolf King or leader of outlaws or warriors and Ap Govannon means son of Govannon (Govannon being the God of Blacksmiths).

And Sweet P, hope you are okay, thinking of you mon ami.

I have an annual drinking fest that i participate in every August back home in the Valleys. In Cardiff we have a whiskey quest that involves sampling the 13 single malts offered by Demspeys bar.

went away with school for one week after exams. Goal was to improve our creative skills on different things like drama, dance, design, and stuff like that... It was a pretty fun experience, moved, danced, created and drunk way to much, ...

Now I'm enjoying my one week well deserved vacation...
Spent the first 5 days of it with my boyfriend, sadly, he had to leave 30 minutes ago, and I'm already bored...

Computers are evil, thats what I say!

At the moment my whole Trapezius muscle is inflammated(?), so it can't hold up my arms properly, wich leads to pressure on my nerves wich leads to very painfull situation in arms and hands...

Doctor said is was due to my learning position and computer using...
Ofcourse I made it worse by climbing on my infected muscle, should have know better, anyhow, i'm out of the run for some time now ...

I hope you guys get well soon!

  Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser

See yourself
You are the steps you take
You and you - and thats the only way

Shake - shake yourself
Youre every move you make
So the story goes

Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart

Say - you dont want to chance it
Youve been hurt so before

Watch it now
The eagle in the sky
How he dancin one and only
You - lose yourself
No not for pitys sake
Theres no real reason to be lonely
Be yourself
Give your free will a chance
Youve got to want to succeed

Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart

Owner of a lonely heart

After my own decision
They confused me so - owner of a lonely heart
My love said never question your will at all
In the end youve got to go
Look before you leap - owner of a lonely heart
And dont you hesitate at all - no no

Owner of a lonely heart
Owner of a lonely heart
Much better than - a
Owner of a broken heart
Owner of a lonely heart
(repeat)

Owner of a lonely heart

Sooner or later each conclusion
Will decide the lonely heart - owner of a lonely heart
It will excite it will delight
It will give a better start - owner of a lonely heart

Dont deceive your free will at all
Dont deceive your free will at all - owner of a lonely heart
Dont deceive your free will at all
Just receive it

Good song. Listening to it now.

Yeah..go ahead people...blame it all on poor innocent coffee. Fox News says Coffee drinkers are in league with the liberals. Terrorists want us to drink more coffee so we're all in a state of hyper jitteriness and can't focus on anything longer than 5 seconds.
I'd write more, but I'm already on my 3rd cup of fresh roasted Kenyan so my fingers are twitching too much to hit the right keys.

Don't the Jews have a similar aversion to pork ? You don't see them all up in arms about The 3 Little Pigs. That's because they're not retarded.
If western culture offends you that much, then GO THE FUCK BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM !
Why in the hell would anyone move to a place where they are offended by the local culture ? Fucking retards !

That's my whole point as well

But you can't say that hif, you racist narrowminded nazi bastard. The center for equal opportunities and racism prevention should sue you and gauge your eyes out.

Yesterday a court here in belgium decided that the DHKPC, a turkish terrorist group, is not to be outlawed since they only planned terrorist attacks and didn't really execute one, the "league of human rights", a left wing half immigrant organisation said to be "very pleased" and now wants the abolition of belgian terrorism laws. I shit you not.

The verdict was followed with festivities of immigrants outside of the courthouse. All very multicultural.

Also, it was decided that belgium, which at the moment apparantly guards the kabul airport, was going to send additional f16's to afghanistan to assist nato.

The head of the socialist party is totally against it (my feeling is that the fact that she is in the opposition might have something to do with it too) and is screaming death and murder and how this'll make belgium a more likely target for terrorist attacks and she feels that instead of sending f16's we should be having "dialogues" with the taliban and give them aid.

When asked about how she wants to say to the afghans who aren't fundamentalists that she'd want to pull out and leave them to rot, the reply was: "we should start a dialogue".

Fucking incompetent assholes.

I just got a raise and two new "job titles" which are essentially my management giving me more to do so I don't have time to find a better job without making me management. Whoopee. Hasn't improved my treatment or work environment. I spend far too much time bitching about work, and far too much time at work.
I've been traveling/taking time off fairly frequently of late to spend time with my boyfriend who lives over a thousand miles distant of me. Went to the NC beach, Burnsville Minnesota, and Dallas Texas. Planning on taking more time off at the beginning of March for his Spring break and in mid May around the time I move out of my current place.
I'm planning a bit for my next few steps in my education, now I just need to do that research and get started.
Life has a way of stealing all your free time.
M.
