Have any of you ever done any sort fasting for religious or personal reasons?

  Outstanding photos, zacq.
I've never participated in a fast for any religious reason myself. Others have told me that it's been personally beneficial for them to fast. I guess you have to experience something like that yourself though to really understand what it feels like. Because fasting is mostly associated with a particular religion, and these days I'm not religious, I've never found a real compelling reason to do it.

I know Breeze took part in Ramadan observances.

I fasted for a colonoscopy once.
Would that count as a personal reason ?
