Why didn't you guys elect Ron Paul?

Honestly, what's going on with the world?

I've never taken an interest in the guy all that much put reading some more stuff about him recently really convinced me, and that's something of an achievment as far as I'm concerned. If I were American I'd vote for this guy any day.

Why isn't he president?

I almost voted for him as a write-in candidate. It wouldn't have counted, but I was just so frustrated with Barr. I never got around to reading his platform after he lost the Republican nomination, though.

Paul had a very devoted and passionate following here. The problem was that it was a relatively small group. Add to that our party system here making it extremely difficult for any group outside of the dems and republicans to make a serious bid for any high office because of the way our current system is set up...to favor and give advantage to the two main parties.
I don't think it's a good for democracy the way it's set up now, and that some strong showings from "outside" groups would be a good thing for our country. Unfortunately the powers that be don't give a rat's ass what I think.
My opinion of Paul...I'd read and hear him talk about some issues and be nodding my head in complete agreement.
Then he'd move on to his stances on other areas and I'd be shaking my head and thinking, "No way".

I will say that if it had been a choice between McCain or Paul I would have probably voted for the latter.

I knew that was coming next. I'm one step ahead of you.

I liked most of what he said about foreign policy. But then he said we need to change the 4th of July national holiday to National Snake Whacking Day and that's just not right.
