Hi this thread has nothing to do with the band of the same name.

I'm just bored.

Why doesn't anyone post their own writings on here any more. We're all so darned bored people would probably read it now.

  You first.

  Oh.

I thought this was about the band.

I was going to talk about how I like to put them on in the car to impress college girls in turtle necks.

But never mind.

How did that whole Twitter book thing go this summer when they were twittering or tweeting Neil Gaimen's American Gods? I heard about it when American Gods was selected but since I don't tweet or twitter I don't know how it went.

Not that it matters...

Sorry, Kuro, but I'm going to be of zero help on this one. I just can't force myself to be that current and hip to tweet.
Finally joining the 21st century by getting a cell phone and a page on FB was a huge step for this old guy.
:)

  Okay here's one.

(Author's disclaimer: I am not a poet. Poem is rushed and not proofread.)

Science of Souls

If you go down deep enough
Nothing is touching
Atoms are held together
And kept apart
By invisible forces
By that same token
If you go down deep enough
No one knows each other
Loneliness, like gravity
Draws us together
But the Self, with which
Loneliness is inextricably
Intermingled
And without which
We could not hope to be loved
Will forever keep us
Secretly, infinitesimally,
Apart

(Author's disclaimer #2: if I seem to imply that atoms are held together by gravity, this is not my intention. Atoms I believe are held together by mysterious quantum forces of which I know little.)

Kira I nearly missed this! It is good enough for its own thread!

I like science and I am glad to see it get attention poetically XD

Aww thanks Tiff! I thought about starting a new thread but I felt bad about having nothing to contribute to this thread back when Mat first started it.
