caused from this infected pustule
of memory
of lost chances

of nightmares and
of daydreams,

I see in the mirror
every morning
is why I shave in the shower
is why I run out with my hair undone
is what chases me in those nightmares and daydreams

That juxtaposed Xanadu showing me things
the things I hate, the things in me

is Me again
Shining and golden
Darkened hood off and fire inside
Grinning back at despair
