Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught. By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest. One is not idle because one is absorbed. There is both visible and invisible labor. To contemplate is to toil. To think is to do. |
